My heart is breakin'... Bell cant stay with me!

I haven't felt quite so devastated in a long time. Basically when Gusto & Gretchen (my parents German Shephards) that I blogged about a couple weeks ago were put to sleep in November. The only comforting part about that is they were old and it was time for them to cross the Rainbow Bridge. I'm now stuck in a situation that I have no control over and it's breaking my heart.

It's very difficult for me to understand why anyone would get a dog - then 6 months later - decide the dog has to go. She doesn't listen, she tears things up, she loves couch cushions and floor rugs, has tea partys w/everyone's coffee cups that are in the sink-when everyone leaves she gathers them one by one and puts them in the living room. She's a major fan of stuffed animals. Mostly she loves on them but sometimes she'll rip them to shreds. WHY NOT?! She's a dog. She has been with my every day- going to dog beach, my moms house to play w/her cousin Maggie (black lab), we've been to Yuma @ the river and just here and there. She's been my daughter and now she has to leave. I told my boyfriend in December, I'm not sure it's a good idea to get a dog right now - he insisted it was going to be good. Good for his kids to learn responsibilites and how to care for a dog, etc.

Turns out - I WAS RIGHT. This family as much as I love them - they are not true animal lovers and they are making a bad decision by giving up on a dog that has been a part of our family for 5-6 months.

I've got the most swollen eyes in the world right now, funny - my make up went on quite well w/the puffy eyes. Unfortunately I'm stuck @ work and have to answer everyone as to why I'm looking so jacked up. Nothing pretty about a frown and swollen eyes first thing in the morning from a normally very excited and enthusiastic receptionist.

Thank all of the followers than left comments for Bell and I. This has been a fun experience blogging with doggies. I will try to post a couple more pictures, however she has to go this week end... it's going to be soooo incredibly difficult for me!

Thank you & Much Love!

Kimberly - Bell's favorite person!

  1. This is very sad news. I am sure that you have tried crate training her and have gone to extremes to control her bad habits. Hang in there. My thoughts and prayers are with you today. I know this is breaking your heart and cannot be easy. It has been very easy for me to see the love you have for her through your photos and adventures. I send my love.
