Bell has a vet appt today - not feeling good. And to top it off she got into trouble before they left and ate some juice boxes LEAVING JUICE ALL OVER THE CARPET.
GOOD THING IT'S GETTING CLEANED TOMORROW
of course she's still in trouble :( ..
ruff day!
High Five
So - found out she's HIGHLY ALLERGIC to something in the air - our house or area in general. Great - how in the WORLD do I find out what's causing this :( .. She's had so many issues lately poor Bell is getting the short end of the stick that's for sure :( ... She also had to get a shot because she's got a urinary track infection.
My Poor Bell... I'm so sad for her!

Sorry to hear that Bell isn't feeling well. Hope the vet visit goes OK. I think my Marge might have some allergies as she's been sneezing a bit more lately and sometimes her nose gets a little extra wet.
ReplyDeleteOh no, what a nightmare, hope you find out what's causing it soon :o(

So do I understand that the juice boxes were not an issue? Not that allergies are fun either...
ReplyDeleteshe is going through a bit of a rough spell huh? poor girl--what a face though...
ReplyDeletewe're sorry to hear about Bell's allergies. she needs to go to a doggy dermatologist. yes, they exist. we hope she feels better soon.
ReplyDeletewoofs.
Bummer. Allergies are so difficult! I hope you can get some answers! Sorry I have not visited in awhile. I thought I was following you so I would see when you had a new post but guess I neglected to add you! I just added you now though so now I will keep up and I will have to catch up on the missed posts!
ReplyDeleteAs for weight, have you tried a grain-free food? or at least one that has grains that are less of a problem for dogs? This can help with both weight and allergies. I know you have ruled out food as her allergy but I know if I am mildly allergic to something it will make me more sensitive to other things if that makes any sense. Moose eats Wellness Core which is grain free and kinda expensive but he used to eat Canidae which has rice instead of wheat and corn which are major allergans for many dogs (and is less expensive). Sorry if I am telling you what you already know!
Good luck!

Oh so sorry - very hard to figure out what these things are, but commenters above seem to have lots of good suggestions. Belle, I hope you feel better soon.

Sorry to clutter your comments... here is a site that will be more helpful than anything I can tell you (I am no expert!) It explains how to really interpret dog food labels and info about ingredient quality. Avoderm is supposed to be a good food but all dogs are different. This site says that changing is fine as long as it is done gradually. Anywho, here is the site:
